Captured by His Love
I am originally from El Salvador where I grew up in a wonderful Christian home. My father has been a denominational pastor for over 35 years and is zealous for the Word of God.
I came to the U.S.A. in 1986 to go to college and to escape the Civil War in El Salvador. After a month in the States, a believer from the church in Shreveport knocked on my door and the very next day took me to a meeting of the local church. My life changed completely. It was the flow of the Spirit in that meeting that attracted me and opened my eyes to see the real meaning of my Christian life. During my first month in the States, I visited different denominations, seeking for a place to worship and fellowship, but it was in the local church where I began to enjoy the Lord in my spirit and to realize how crucial the oneness of Christ was among those who have been called to be the Body of Christ.
I treasure with all my heart the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. These two faithful slaves of Christ gave so much to open the Bible in a living way. One of the main factors of these Christian brothers was their absoluteness in loving the Lord. I have never known how to love the Lord Jesus as I do now. Before coming to the local church, I only knew Christ in an objective way, but now I know Him in a sweet, subjective way. He is my life, my hope, my joy, my everything. As a seeking believer, I am on the way to seeing more of the unsearchable riches of Christ. I just need to keep loving Him.
